Measurements - Materials lab

Often times, in order to provide adequate solutions to problems and avoid failure of structures and equipment, the ability to conduct field measurements is essential. Field services are very valuable for troubleshooting and diagnosing problems. Vibration can be studied using accelerometers, leaks can be detected via noise monitoring with acoustic sensors, flow can be measured with nonintrusive external sensors, temperatures with thermocouples, thermal guns and scanners, excessive loads and deformations with strain gauges, etc. Laser scanners can be used to obtain physical dimensions of components and equipment to make 2D and 3D models for numerical simulations or analyses.

Field services with advanced engineering analysis from our Specialty Engineering Group provide rapid response support during industrial crisis. This is necessary in today’s global business environment to minimize downtime, increase productivity, and maximize safety.
